I was so happy when to realise that Santa Claus didn’t forget me after all this year. I received a very nice present just like I wished for. Thank you Santa, I love you, too.

Xmas is coming!

I just went to the local mall the other day and they were having Christmas season opening party. How nice to hear Christmas carols in November! I probably have to find some other mall to do my shopping if they are going to play the carols until January..

Anyway this is a great opportunity for me to remind you all about my amazon.com wishlist. The prices vary from pretty expensive to more affordable so there’s surely something for everyone just to show how much you love me. ;-)

My Amazon.com Wish List

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

I added a nice button to the navigation bar on the left. It leads directly to my amazon.com wish list. The list contains stuff I wish I could buy someday. As you can see, there’s a lot of hardware and digital design related books..

What’s nice about the list it also lets other people, hi, mom!, buy me stuff and have it shipped directly to me. What a great service ;)

Bye, Bye, HDL Designer

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

I took part in a digital design course at the university where we had to use Mentor Graphics® HDL Designer™ for exercises. After a long hassle we students were able to install the software to our personal computers. I probably can’t say anything about HDL Designer because of the EULA/NDA, but maybe it’s better for Mentor’s sake

The course exam was held this week so now it’s time to nuke the software; something that I’ve waited from the day I installed it. It’s great that I don’t have to use it on any remaining courses. Hopefully I don’t have to touch it never again, not even with a gross-feet pole! I really hope it will uninstall nicely through Add or Remove Programs so that I don’t have to nuke the whole Windows installation while I’m at it.

edit: Breaking News!

The only thing the Mentor’s god damn custom Uninstaller was able to remove was it self.  Now my machine has a pile of steaming uninstallable crap! perkele!!
