Looking at my inbox after two weeks of almost completely ignoring it, I must say I’m sorry for not being able to commit or comment on any the patches people have sent me. I’m going to fix this right now!

NetworkManager 0.7 Released

Subject: NetworkManager 0.7 Released
From: Dan Williams

Hi,

I tagged, branched, and uploaded tarballs for the NetworkManager 0.7
release on Wednesday night. Due to the US Thanksgiving holiday, there
wasn’t time to mail out announcements until now. Thanks to everyone
(especially Tambet!) who helped push the 0.7 release out the door; it’s
been a long 2 years. Get it while it’s hot:

ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/NetworkManager/0.7/
ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/network-manager-applet/0.7/

Over the next few weeks, we’ll get a schedule and feature list together
for the next release. There’s some great stuff queued up, and while we
can’t get to all of it for whatever comes right after 0.7, we’ll
certainly work hard to make the next major release cure both cancer
_and_ your connectivity problems.

Dan

Congratulations Dan!!

Bye, Bye, HDL Designer

I took part in a digital design course at the university where we had to use Mentor Graphics® HDL Designer™ for exercises. After a long hassle we students were able to install the software to our personal computers. I probably can’t say anything about HDL Designer because of the EULA/NDA, but maybe it’s better for Mentor’s sake

The course exam was held this week so now it’s time to nuke the software; something that I’ve waited from the day I installed it. It’s great that I don’t have to use it on any remaining courses. Hopefully I don’t have to touch it never again, not even with a gross-feet pole! I really hope it will uninstall nicely through Add or Remove Programs so that I don’t have to nuke the whole Windows installation while I’m at it.

edit: Breaking News!

The only thing the Mentor’s god damn custom Uninstaller was able to remove was it self.  Now my machine has a pile of steaming uninstallable crap! perkele!!

removed project desription

I just removed the Kesäkoodi project description from the main page of this blog. I think it was time for that, too. I should probably do something about my main site; actually it would be ideal to have uniform theme, but I don’t think I got the time to modify the main site template  to play nice with wordpress. Besides I truly like both themes alot, I probably leave the blog and main site as they are.

Talking about themes I’m afraid that this wordpress theme becomes bit-rotten as WP adds new CSS classes and the theme is not receiving any updates. I wonder if there’s any documentation what kind of CSS classes WP uses.. I could add them to the theme myself.
